MATT BARR

Matt Barr, born in Payson, AZ, discovered his love for music at 8 when he picked up his grandfather’s 1942 Gibson guitar. By age 10, he was writing songs and winning talent shows. Matt studied music while in seminary following high school. Working in the oilfield and owning a business in that industry temporarily limited his time to devote to music. However, since then he has begun to immerse himself once again into the music he so loves to create. Matt is an accomplished guitarist as well as a singer and songwriter. He co-writes with BRP signed artist, Brandon Howard and others in the music industry.

Howard County is Texas Country Artist Brandon Howard & his band. He brings a unique sound that goes back to his roots in Southwest Louisiana. Brandon grew up singing Gospel, Blues, and Country, later moving to Kansas and

Colorado, and eventually settling in North Texas. Brandon wrote his first song when he was 11 years old and has penned more than 300 songs.

What started as a shared passion between Neil and Carleen Sparkman has grown into a thriving production company based in Midlothian, Texas. With decades of experience in business, creativity, and music, the Sparkmans bring heart and dedication to every project. Since investing in their first artist, Howard County, in 2022, Broken Road Productions has expanded to manage multiple country recording artists — including Matt Barr — while continuing to champion authentic country sound, meaningful songwriting, and unforgettable live performances.
